Definition of Hijab

Definition of hijab in Islam (Arabic: حجاب) is an Arabic word which means barrier. But this word more often leads to the word "veil". But the science is not limited to Islamic hijab headscarf course, also in the appearance and behavior of human beings every day.


Hijab means curtain or divider (satyr or fossil). Quran states: "If you ask anything to them (the wives of the Prophet), then ask for from behind the veil. Another derivative of the word Hijab is Hajji, mean eyebrows or eye protection and is also a word used during the period of the Caliphate to the officials who select migrants who wish to meet with the caliph.
